How To Get Free Targeted Website Traffic
#1. Article Marketing
Article marketing is by far the easiest strategy to implement and great for inexperienced marketers or those on a budget as it’s almost costless except for your time. This should be the first strategy you implement. Target one keyword at a time and then write and article around it and submit it to article directories. We suggest Ezine Articles first and when it’s approved, submit it to Articles Base, Idea Marketers and Go Articles. Change the title and sub headlines for each submission.
This is time intensive and we won’t sugar coat the truth here. To get effective results one article won’t cut it. You need to be producing at least an article a day for the fiirst two months and then backing it off a bit from there. The more articles you have out there the more traffic you’ll generate and remember, articles are like a team of salespeople never sleeping and continually selling you and your product.
#2. Bookmarking Your Articles
This is an important follow up to your articles being approved after you submit them. Using a service such as Onlywire to syndicate your newly created content will get you cheap and effective exposure.
#3. Create Web 2 Sites
Creating web 2 properties is a powerful way to leverage off the back of high ranking website platforms and get more quality links back to your main site. The content you have already written needs to be re-written and then used to create pages at several web 2 platforms. We suggest you start with Squidoo, Hub Pages, Wetpaint, Blogspot, Weebly and Wikidot and use these sites to link back to your main site. Be careful not to make blatant sales pitches with these services and never more than two links per article. For Hub Pages, be careful not to link to the same site more than once.
#4. More Bookmarking
Now it’s time to dust off Onlywire again and bookmark these pages. If you can. also bookmark your profile pages.
#5. Pinging and RSS Submission
Pinging is another way to get more backlinks and extra exposure for your sites and you can do this using a free platform called Pingoat. Then submit your RSS feeds. This includes the feeds from the article directories and web 2 sites. There are many RSS aggregators online to submit to and we recommend you submit to Feedage, Feedagg, Feedraider, Icerocket, Feedplex and Goldenfeed initially. You may be required to create accounts at some of these sources.
In fact, you’ll need to create accounts at the bookmarking services you use. This does seem like a lot of work and it is but it gets results and will increase free targeted website traffic. This type of promotion needs to be staggered over a period of a couple of weeks initially and then less frequent on a monthly basis.
